Levante Ferries “PASSENGER LINE OF 2022”

On December 2, the 19^th Lloyd’s Greek Shipping Awards, one of the largest shipping award events worldwide, took place at the Athenaeum InterContinental. In the presence of many personalities of the shipping community and the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Giannis Plakiotakis, the Lloyd’s Lists Greek Shipping Awards 2022 highlighted Levante Ferries as the PASSENGER LINE OF THE YEAR, in the category of cabotage and domestic cruising, just a few years after its first award in the same category.

We are proud of this second distinction, because it recognises and rewards the efforts of three years - particularly difficult ones due to the pandemic - during which Levante Ferries completed a particularly demanding but also impressive retrofitting, that of the passenger ferry Smyrna di Levante.

Lloyd’s Shipping Awards are held every year in five countries around the world that maintain a prominent role in shipping, with Greece being one of these countries. In Greece they have been organised since 2004, recognising the achievements and activity of Greek shipping and promoting Greece as a maritime centre. The organiser, Lloyd’s List, is a prestigious maritime newspaper founded in 1734 in London, with a continuous presence, as well as a global reach and prestige up to the present day.
